We’re excited to announce the third edition of the Cypherpunk Meetup — an independently organized, official side event of BTCPrague.

Expect a cool venue, fresh guests, great networking, and even a few surprises!

This year, we'll explore the structures that connect us, confine us, and could one day set us free.

But if you zoom out, the real world doesn’t run on pyramids – it runs on webs. Across the world, resilient communities and decentralized networks are quietly rewriting the rules. They don’t wait for permission. They don’t hold press conferences. They operate in whispers, in code, in trade, in trust. They don’t change the world top-down.They change it side-to-side, network to network.

Bitcoin has the power to turn a gathering into a market. A message into a contract. A connection into a livelihood. It empowers not just the individual, but the network—and in that network, we are seeing real resistance grow. And here, Bitcoin can play a critical role: as private money, as collateral, as a tool for exit.

Why is there a higher price if I choose on-chain Bitcoin payment? Buying tickets with on-chain transactions is expensive - both for you and for us to spend the coins. The additional fee covers mining fees to swap to lightning. If you don't like it, start using Lightning and pay for the ticket in Lightning. It will be cheaper for you since the first transaction. Juraj has even made a super comprehensive course if you really want to dive in.

Is this event only for visitors of BTCPrague? Nope. Anyone can join.
